Marketing Director

Our client is a privately registered organization responsible for the growth of the tourism sector in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The Marketing Director’s role is central to building the country’s brand and competitiveness in the region. Candidates should have experience in similar organizations such as Visit Dubai, Visit Saudi, Visit Jordan, Visit Rwanda, etc., and possess innovative marketing skills beyond traditional channels.

The company was established six months ago and is now looking to build its marketing team with the appointment of a Director. Strategies and plans are in place to start building the company’s image.

Job Summary:

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the marketing team, developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, and driving initiatives that support the company’s business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills and a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies:
• Create and implement marketing plans aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
• Oversee the development of marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives.
  

• Team Leadership and Management:
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, setting clear goals, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Market Research and Analysis:
• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth.
• Analyze customer behaviour and preferences to inform marketing strategies.
  

• Budget Management:
• Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources efficiently to maximize ROI.
• Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  

• Campaign Development and Execution:
• Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, social media, and events.
• Monitor and optimize campaign performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with sales, product development, and other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
• Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
  

• Performance Tracking and Reporting:
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting campaign performance and ROI.
  

• Stay Current with Industry Trends:
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing to ensure the company remains competitive.
  

• Digital Media Campaign Planning and Execution:
• Create and execute digital campaigns, considering the goals of the tourism sector.
